“I Want To Ask God When I Would Get Married”- Empress Njamah Speaks

Nollywood actress, Empress Enjah who recently relocated to Abuja in order to take care of her clothing line , speaks to Saturday Beatz where she says only God knows when she will walk down the aisle., “If I had the opportunity to see God, I would ask him when I would get married and have kids of my own.”

The actress also revealed why she left Lagos for Abuja  “I relocated from Lagos to Abuja because of my business. My clothing line was suited for women of the north and that is why I relocated to Abuja. I make long dresses and my target is Abuja women. My move has not affected my career as an actress. Even when I am 80 years old, I can still play various roles. If I relied on Nollywood, I would not be able to feed these children. My relocation has nothing to do with Nollywood. Even if I was still in Lagos, I would have still faced my business till it could stand on its own. The movie is always there and the roles still keep coming in,” she said

The actress disclosed that her foundation, “Empress Njama Foundation” has helped fed over 1000 kids in 10 years.

-You must respect your fans and the people that contributed in one way or the other to your success because there is no artist that can come out and say he or she is an island.

-You have to have some level of humility. It is not by force that you must greet everybody you see on the road but you have to know how you put yourself out there. And finally talent, you need to have talent to make it in the industry.”

People Should Stop Judging Wizkid- Wande Coal

In a recent interview with Saturday Beats, Wande Coal , said people should stop judging Wizkid because the singer is his brother and a great kid.
Wande said, “I have influenced the music of both Wizkid and Davido but the person with whom I went through a lot with and greatly influenced is Wizkid. I don’t think anybody should blame Wizkid for whatever action he takes. I know Wizkid very well and I know that he learns from everything. He is a great kid and I love him a lot. He is my brother and that is why he calls my name in his songs. We bonded. With David, I feel he is a good artiste. In the game called music, there would always be friction but it does not mean that they are not cool with each other. People need to know that music is competitive,”

President Buhari Should Resign Immediately- Etcetera

Etcetera is back again with another long epistle. Read his rants below.

It is beginning to unfold how risky and dangerous it is for Nigeria that Buhari doubles as president and the petroleum minister. As the president, he already has too much on his plate with too many issues pulling the country towards collapse.

From the north, Boko Haram is threatening to drag the whole country down a cliff, and if nothing is done pretty soon, we are going to have a situation in our hands with the Biafra movement. It is already a keg of gunpowder waiting to explode in our faces. The business of armed robbery has never been as lucrative as it is today. The economy is another area that calls for the president’s urgent attention. But what do we have?
A president who has more-or-less assumed the role of a jack of all trade while doing nothing in particular. The president should resign as the minister of petroleum immediately if we are ever going to have sanity in the petroleum industry. What we need is a petroleum minister who is saddled with no other responsibility outside his ministry. Take for instance the negotiations with the petroleum marketers; it could have been better handled with more urgency knowing that the people are seriously suffering as a result of the slow pace of negotiations.
I don’t understand how the president wants to be personally involved in negotiations with oil marketers and at the same time travel all over the world from one summit to another. He should understand that the masses don’t care that much about the bottlenecks in these negotiations; all we want is to be able to drive into a filling station and buy fuel at any time of the day or year.
Secondly, is APC still the opposition party? Because responding to every jibe from PDP doesn’t speak of a party who has come to terms with being a ruling party. What I see here is that the APC never thought in its wildest dreams that Goodluck Jonathan would lose in the last election and as a result, they weren’t prepared for the responsibility of ruling.

The PDP left us in a total mess and would love nothing more than seeing APC fail. APC should put aside their lyrical battle with PDP and fix the issues facing this country or be seen as another party that failed us. APC should understand that elections shouldn’t be a win at all cost affairs. The choice of late Abubakar Audu as the party’s governorship candidate for Kogi State beats me. A man who had already been twice governor of the state from January 1992 until November 1993 and from 29th May 1999 to May 2003?

Was it that Audu performed so well in his previous spells as governor of the state that APC chose to bring him back? I keep wondering what the party’s “change” philosophy is all about. As we speak, Bayelsa State is having another former governor as APC candidate for the coming governorship election in the state. May God save us all from desperate political parties.

INEC should explain to us why politicians are allowed to contest for elective positions in two different states. We have seen politicians lose primaries in one state and move to another state and get elected. Isn’t it confusing that Solomon Olamilekan alias YAYI contested for Lagos West senatorial seat after previously registering to contest for Ogun West senatorial district? And now, Faleke, who was a chairman of Ojodu local government and was also a member of Lagos State House of Representatives may emerge as the governor of Kogi State. INEC, please explain to us how this is possible ooo!!!.
Finally, the Federal government must insist that an autopsy is conducted on Audu’s corpse. We have to quell this rumour of foul play making the rounds or prove that he died of natural cause. Those who will argue that he was a Muslim and was buried in accordance with Muslim laws should understand that this is not a matter for religious sentiments. Audu was contesting an election and the speculation surroundin

ULTIMATUM: Senate Gives Buhari 2 Weeks To End Fuel Scarcity

A petrol station during fuel scarcity in Abuja (Undated Photo)

The Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream), has directed the Minister of Petroleum Resources, President Muhammadu Buhari, to end the ongoing fuel scarcity in the country within two weeks from now.

This came on the heels of disclosure by the Pipeline Products Marketing Company, PPMC, that Nigeria lost a whopping N50 billion in ten months as a result of vandalisation of petroleum pipeline in some parts of the country.

Chairman of the committee, Senator Uche Ekwunife, who gave the directive during the committee’s meeting with top officials of Ministry of Petroleum Resources, insisted that the petroleum minister must not only end the scarcity but ensure that fuel was sold to the public at government’s controlled price of N87.00 per litre.

Senator Ekwunife, representing Anambra South, on the platform of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, frowned at the ongoing fuel crisis, saying Nigerians were suffering untold hardship following the development.

Fuming over what she described as unnecessary fuel crisis, Ekwunife, said “We are mandating the Minister of Petroleum Resources, the Permanent Secretary and heads of agencies to stop this fuel scarcity in two weeks.

“We are giving a target now, we don’t want to know how you would achieve it. Nigerians want to see an end to this fuel scarcity.

Facebook Hacker Arrested In Rivers After Duping 5 Influential Nigerians (Photo)

NEMESIS has caught up with a 36 year old cosmetic seller, Daniel Obasi, who also is a serial facebook account hacker after he posed as the Deputy governor of two states in the South West.

Before the long hands of the law caught up with him, five influential Nigerians had fallen prey to his rooster and bull stories and were handsomely duped.

Vanguard gathered that Obasi who hails from Imo State and resides in Port Harcourt, River State hacked into the Facebook accounts of the Ondo and Lagos state deputy governors Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo and Alhaja Oluranti Idiat Adebule respectively and made good money from their unsuspecting friends and acquitances.

The suspect who was paraded alongside other criminals at the state police headquarters confirmed to Vanguard during an interview that he specialises in hacking to the face book account of prominent Nigerians in a bid to dupe their unsuspecting friends.

Internetbusiness

Obasi said frustration drove him into the illicit business after his cosmetics business nose dived due to paucity of funds and in a bid to survive he ventured into the Internet business. According to him, he succeeded in hacking into the account of the two governors and was working on other deputy governors facebook account when detectives traced him to his residence in River state where he was arrested and subsequently detained.

Speaking on his arrest, Obasi who did not deny the crime said frustration forced him into a life of cyber crime. He said he resorted to using the Facebook accounts of the notable personalities because he was sure his victims will easily fall for his tricks.

“I am Daniel from Imo State but live in Port Harcourt. I opened a separate account of Deputy Governors and I used it to chat with people on the net. I did not hack into their accounts; I only opened new accounts on their behalf. I use it to communicate with people. I have never hacked into their accounts.

“I was doing cosmetic business before. But when my money was stolen inside my shop and there was no money to re-stock my shop, I have no choice than to look for a way to survive that was why I went into cyber crime. I have not been long in this business. I have only clone accounts of Ondo and Lagos States Deputy Governors and they have blocked the accounts now,” he explained.

But Police sources said Obasi did not only clone accounts but would hack into the accounts of the deputy governors using a particular software. The police said large sums of money were paid into his bank accounts. Vanguard gathered from Police detectives that Obasi has been using the cloned accounts to chat with friends, siblings and political associates of the Deputy Governors telling them of contracts to be given out by their state governments.

“According to him, he would \usually ask the unsuspecting friends of his victim to pay money into a specific accounts to help them facilitate contracts in the offices of the two Deputy governors. Obasi said that he was arrested by detectives from the state command, who pretended to be interested in a contract to be awarded from the office of the deputy governor .

“The detectives presented themselves as representatives of a tailors’ union and they said they are interested in a contract that would soon be awarded by the office of the Deputy governor of Ondo state. “ They however insisted that they want to pay directly into my account to help facilitate the contract. I did not know that they are police detectives that was how I was arrested “

Obasi who told Vanguard that he was pushed into the business after he was frustrated out of business, did not however deny the offence and attributed the crime to the handiwork of the devil and frustration.

“Frustrations led me into this unholy business after the collapse of my business, I never hacked into the Facebook accounts of these deputy governors, but opened a separate account on their behalf to communicate with people on net and used it to dupe only about five or six persons”

Speaking on how the suspect was arrested, the state Commissioner of Police, Mike Ogbodu explained that Obasi had been using various accounts of Deputy governors to dupe some of his unsuspecting victims before he was nabbed. The police Chief said that the suspect has confessed to opening clone Facebook accounts on behalf of notable personalities in the country and using them to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

Juicycontracts

Ogbodu listed some of the Face book account being operated by Obasi to include that of the state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Oluboyo and his counterpart in Lagos State,Dr Oluranti Idiat Adebule. According to Ogbodu, the suspect usually attracts his victims with juicy contracts promising to help them facilitate it but not without soliciting for money to be dropped into his account.

The Police Chief confirmed that an unspecified sum of money has been deposited into the account of the internet fraudster. The suspect, according to the Commissioner, of police has made and confessional statement and that detectives are already on the trail of other internet fraudsters. Ogbodu declared that” We will soon track them down. It’s a matter of time and we will arraign them in court.”

Drake would do Adele’s laundry.

The Canadian rapper is such a fan of the ‘Hello’ singer that he insists he would do anything she wants, even her washing.

14 DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE GIRL YOU DATE AND THE WOMAN YOU MARRY

If you are married, in what way is the girl you dated different from the woman you married? If you are single or dating, in what way do you want the woman you marry to be different from the girl you are dating? What thoughts come to your mind? I bet you have a few thoughts, I also do.

After being married for over 3 years to my awesome wife, l can testify that the girl l dated is different from the woman l proudly call my wife. She has definitely improved in ways I never imagined, and for the better.

If you go through dating and your marriage journey, you will inevitable look back to realize the girl you dated is different from the woman are married to. To clarify, l do not mean she would become a brand new person. What l mean is that her priorities and perspective about life and marriage will improve in many ways. Hopefully, for the better.

Either way, the woman you marry will not be the same as the girl you dated.

1. The girl you date does not want to meet your family or friends, she wants you all to herself.

The woman you marry wants to know your family and friends. She knows without them, you would not be where you are, and who you are today.

2. The girl you date is overly worried about her nails been done all the time, her eyelashes looking in a certain style, and being beautiful for her peers. Her physical beauty is important to her.

The woman you marry is not overly worried about her nails being done. Instead, she is worried about being beautiful for her man, even if that means wearing no makeup. She focuses on her internal beauty and character building, because she knows real beauty comes from within.

3. The girl you date only cares about her career and her vision for life. She comes before the relationship, and does not make her future plans with you in mind.

The woman you marry cares about your career and your vision of life as well as her own. She knows you also have a plan, and works together with you to achieve the goals you both have. The marriage is her priority.

4. The girl you date loves the financial cushion you can provide.  She also expects something back whenever she gives.

The woman you marry wants to build a financial cushion with you. She believes that two heads will always be better than one. When she gives, she does not expect anything back.

5. The girl you date believes she knows everything.

The woman you marry is open to learning something new, and knows there is always room for improvement.

6. The girl you date is scared to tell you her deepest secrets.

The woman you marry will share her deepest secrets with you, even if it means losing you. She trusts you, and shares everything with you. She knows honesty is always the best policy.

7. The girl you date does not get excited about marriage and children (even if she wants to have some one day).

The woman you marry gets excited about marriage and starting a family with you.

8. The girl you date shows her cleavage all the time.

The woman you marry is more modest because she knows her attributes are for your eyes only.

9. The girl you date is not concerned about cooking for you.

The woman you marry loves not only to cook, but chooses delicious and healthy meals. The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach after all, right?

10. The girl you date is overly concerned about how long you will be around, and how she can keep you.

The woman you marry is not too concerned about keeping you because she knows you want to have a future with her. She is mature enough to know you can never force someone to stay and that you each have to choose each other every day, again and again.

11. The girl you date is not willing to compromise with you.

The woman you marry is willing to compromise, and sees compromise as a necessity for a healthy marriage

12. The girl you date thrives on constant attention from you.

The woman you marry mirrors your affection and thrives on providing you with the love, support, and respect you need.

13. The girl you date tries to change who you are and compares you to her ex.

The woman you marry accepts you for who you are and will not compare you to her ex. She knows you are the best and that you cannot change another person no matter how hard you try.

14. The girl you date has to be entertained.

The woman you marry is someone you can have fun with, relax, do activities, or do nothing together and still enjoy each other’s company.

What are your thoughts on these differences between the girl you date and the woman you marry?

Burna Boy Gets Featured In FADER Magazine, Talks Politics In Nigerian Music Industry & More

Burna Boy is the latest Nigerian music act to be featured in Fader Magazine, following Wizkid’s feature just last week. In his interview with the music mag, the dance-hall act disclosed that the Nigerian music industry is all political.

How did you get started?

In 2010, [I] got signed to this label that was just starting up called Aristokrat Records. Started dropping singles and then I got quite big in the south side [of Nigeria]. I was like a hood star [laughs]. In 2012, I dropped a song called “Like To Party,” and that just took me all over the world. Started getting endorsements and now I’m good. Dropped one album, sold 50,000 copies on the first day. In Nigeria that’s quite big.

Who are your influences?

Music-wise obviously number one is Fela Kuti. My granddad used to be his manager. My dad used to play reggae and Afrobeats. Every Sunday, we used to have these records, vinyls. And he would just play all of them—Super Cat, Ninja Man, Buju Banton. On his side, I heard a lot of reggae and dancehall. He doesn’t even know it but he influenced reggae into me. The first reggae song I heard was in his car. I remember he bought a V Boot—a Mercedes, old school—and it was one of the first cars that could play CDs at the time. The first CD we had was a mix of all different types of dancehall. And then I turned ten years old and this girl I was trying to get with gave me a Joe CD for my birthday, which introduced me to R&B. I’m pretty much a product of my environment.

Would you say your sound is different from other Nigerian artists?

I kind of brought back everything you hear now. I kind of started all this shit, all the dancehall sounds. My genre of music is called Afro-Fusion because I fuse different types of music into a ball. There’s dancehall, there’s R&B, there’s hip-hop, there’s Afrobeats—that’s all that makes Burna Boy, really. Everything you see right now is really a photocopy of Burna Boy. While it works for some people it doesn’t work for others.

How do you see the [Nigerian music] industry as a whole?

It’s political, man. To be honest I don’t really feel like I’m a part of the industry. I don’t get awards because the powers that be don’t really like me. I’m not like everyone else, I won’t do what everyone else does. They don’t like it. Everything is really political and I’m not a very good politician. So I don’t really involve myself in all that. I just drop hit songs, and my fanbase keeps increasing.
